7th Pay Commission Rules
- Dearness Allowance (DA): Currently calculated at 50% (as of Jan 2024 updates).
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): HRA rates are 30%, 20%, and 10% for X, Y, and Z class cities respectively when DA crosses 50%.
- Transport Allowance (TA): Varies by Pay Level and City. Higher for Levels 9 and above.
- NPS Deduction: 10% of (Basic Pay + DA) is deducted as employee contribution to Tier-1 NPS account. The Government contributes 14%.
